Well, this is my last post from China, thank goodness. We have had a nice time but it's nothing like a vacation, it's work mixed in with a little vacation like sight seeing. Of course the highlight was meeting my son for the first time and we will bring home many great memories. Dominic is ready to see his daddy and sisters and for some familiar food. He has done a great job, I'm so proud of him and am glad we brought him. He was so helpful in helping transition Nathaniel over to us. I think he made him feel more comfortable and now he has a new little brother to bring home and show his sisters.

I want to thank everyone for their prayers for Nathaniel and the rest of my family, and for the other families here in China. We felt all of your prayers on our journey and couldn't have done it without out you and of course God! :-)

We would love to see anyone who wants to come to the airport. Our flight gets in on 2/28 at 10:30 pm. Nathaniel is doing really well in new situations and with new faces so I don't think it will freak him out too much. After we get home we will see how things are going but I think we will stay low for just a few days. The only thing we are going to do is not let anyone hold him for a while until we feel like he really knows Bob and I are his primary caregivers.

Thanks too for all of your kind wishes and comments. Bob has told me people have left messages for us, I haven't been able to read them unfortunately but can't wait to when we get home. I have really enjoyed "blogging" while we have been here and hope you all have enjoyed it too. I tried my best to add interesting pictures, I have so many but could only add a few at a time. I apologize to anyone who has agonized over my grammar and sentence structure. I've been a mommy and haven't written much in 8 years, scary thought!

Alrighty then, pray us home prayer warriors!!

Love to all!

Katie

Katie,
Of course we all will pray you home! As much as I would love to come and greet you at the airport, I am sure your precious little girls and husband will want all of mommy and the two brothers. Keeping low key is such a grand idea. Know we are all here for you, and when God permits, you will know when its time to become "social" again. Until then, I will continue to pray, and to send you emails. We are only just a phone call away.
All our love,
Maria and Family

Praying for a safe trip home (and an easy one with 2 little guys in tow). Can't wait to see you Thursday, I will try to stay out of the way and just capture your special day. We love you and can't wait to see you.

Hi Katie and Ed,

Just wanted you to know we are all getting so excited. Helena is beside herself, didn't want to leave her daddy and cried for you this a.m. She's fine now though! We are going shopping for Nathaniel's coming home signs etc. I want to just tell you one more time, Katie, how much I loved the blog. You write beautifully as always and I have absolutely loved reading what you have said. I hope you will keep every entry for Nathaniel and Dom and your whole family. It is first hand and the best account of memories you could give then. I love you both so much. Fly with God, my darlings. See you on Thurs.

The girls and I are excited about the homecoming. I think Lent was the perfect time for us to be getting Nathaniel. The girls have learned first hand about sacrifice, and have had to sacrificially offer their time with mommy in order to bring their new little brother home. I know I have felt God gently guiding us throughout your entire time in China. We are praying for a safe and peaceful flight home and cannot wait for you all to get here.
Love, Bob and the girls

Our prayers for you as well! I have to agree with Bob, as this being the perfectly chosen time for God to bring your little guy home to you. What a lenten sacrifice for all of you and what a joy to know you could offer all your "homesicknesses" up to our beloved Father! You are an amazing family, and a joy to know! You are inspiring to all of us!

Katie,
Tom and I wish we could be there at the airport for your homecoming. If only the webcam made it that far! Ha! We'll be praying for a peaceful and safe flight home. Once you have settled in awhile give me a call. We all love you Aunt Katie!

Katie and all,
We have been praying daily and will continue to pray even after you are all safely home. I'm sure the girls will be a bit clingy after your absence, so coming home will not be all ease. But it will be wonderful for you all to settle in as a family. Welcome home All of you, and we know God will continue to bless your family with love and graces. Like Maria, we will give your family time to be a family before we descend on you. God Bless you and welcome home. Art, Megan and Family

Katie, Nathaniel, Dominic and "Gramps",

I trust you made it home safely. Thank you so much for the part you played in our journey. Micah still calls the little blonde boy in his picture book "Ahmih" It's clear he thinks it's Dominic. We're continuing to transition. Days are great, nights are rough. Please do stay in touch!
